Welcome to the Home of Elixir...

Elixir is an open source CMS alvalible for download and may be used for what ever the user wishes. It may be modified edited and redistrubuted. (allthough a link to the the original elixir site would be appreciated )

For coders and the not so code savy...

Elixir was designed with admins and users in mind. Simple functions allow the code to be edited simply and tutorials are provided in our forum, but if your not so code savy then our systems still for you, Elixir uses a "bolt on" system so you can download new modules to bolt on such as forum modules, shoutboxes and news letter systems.

Simple text styling for all...

Formating your text has never been so simple! Again no code knowledge needed, you dont need to know html to make you text bold or italics in your comment or newspost. just use the universal bbcode commands. It also prevents the use of html preventing people using it to make changes to your site. BUT if you want to give the use of html just check the box in the publishing config.

Login goes live

Well finaly the login section is back up and commenting requires registration once again. I'm supprised we only got 2 spam comments . Hopfully in the next 24hrs the private message system will goe live along with the profiles. after that i'll create a default setup, install file and template system. Then 0.5 will be yours to devour!

New RSS feed

Just a quick mention, after an email suggestion i recived i realised i hadn't even created any RSS feeds for elixir so ive made an RSS feed for the dev blog news which you can find here: The Elixir DevBlog Feed.. If your using a browser with a built in RSS reader there should be a small RSS icon in the address bar so you can click that too. I'll also add a link to it some where up top.

Were running Milestone

Well i've just put the DevBlog onto 0.5 and its running well. I'm still trying to fix my problems with the sessions for the login.

I'm also working on a forum bolton and maybe a wiki for this site to help with issues you may have with elixir. And to all my BETA testers when adding text formating functions add them to the main elixir function, as all the text fomating on in the CMS uses the elixir function.

Download removed until 0.5 a.k.a Milestone

I have removed the download for Elixir until i release 0.5 which has been named Milestone. the reason for this is because i've had alot of emails from people asking for new features just for them. Hopefully with the new comment system, people will be able to get help from other users. I'm also working on a forum bolt on so it will be even easier to help each other out.

Why can't i login?

Very sorry but were having problems. Because i added comments i thought id re-work the user system. so im working on it as your reading this. You can still register though . I'll send out a news letter when were fixed and will replace this news post with one saying its all mended.
